"Tupelo Southern Kitchen is phenomenal. It is one of my top places in Grand Rapids! The Chicken & waffles is amazing and I would highly recommend. They have homemade biscuits that are to die for! "Came here on a whim as we passed through town and sure glad we did. I did not realize this was a chain but man the food was fantastic. My 5 year old got buttered noodles which she devoured and proceeded to eat my husbands mac n cheese, tenders, and fries. She claimed it was the best she's ever had. I got the spicy hot honey chicken and it was superb. The crust was crunchy, the spice made you sweat a little, and the waffles were soft. It is hard to find places that are consistent. We had a great waitress who was attentive and got our daughters food out first. It was a charming place and I definably would eat there again ."

"If you want southern food in Grand Rapids, this very much should be a stop for you.
Every dish was fantastic, but I think the greens was my favorite. Deep smokiness to them, cooked to soft but not mush, bacon grumble without any gross bits. Really a superb dish. The bourbon glaze on the meatloaf was a complex masterpiece of blended flavors. Highly recommend.
Service was awesome, pleasant, attentive without being pushy or interrupty. What all service in a dinner place should be like.
Atmosphere could stand some help. Just felt incredibly commercial and didn't really match with the food and service.
