What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Wolfgang's Restaurant is a beloved Grand Rapids institution celebrated for its extensive breakfast menu, generous portions, and welcoming old-school atmosphere. Diners rave about signature dishes like the Lemon Blueberry Pancakes and hearty skillets, complemented by friendly and attentive service. While the food quality and value are consistently praised, be prepared for potential weekend waits, and some reviews note the decor could use an update.
"My wife and I love Wolfgang's. Been having breakfast here on the weekends for years. Get there early or there will likely be a wait on the weekends - but it is worth it the wait! We like to sit at the breakfast counter if a spot opens up there while we're waiting for a table. Unfortunately we dont get here as often as we'd like but we still love the place. The food is always served hot and fresh. They have an amazing menu with all freshly prepared items and lots to choose from all sweet, savory, and lighter items. While we have had several of their breakfast items I find myself sticking to the Uncle Ron's skillet and my wife loves the cooper skillet, both are pictured. Try this place if you haven't already, it's top notch in the breakfast market!"

"I stopped by Wolfgang’s for breakfast and it absolutely hit the spot. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was old-school and welcoming—with just the right buzz of energy.
I ordered a skillet that came with some English Muffin toast— everything was cooked to perfection. The omelet my friend ordered was delicious and packed with all the toppings. The coffee was strong (in a good way) and refilled often by the attentive and friendly staff.
What really stood out was the service—genuine, fast, and thoughtful. You can tell the team here cares about making sure you start your day right.
Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a slow, satisfying start to your morning, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back!"

"Talk about yum! We were in town for the Lantern Festival and stumbled upon this place for breakfast. First impressions are holy hazelnut. They are known for their hazelnut coffee and it smells heavenly upon entering! I greatly appreciated them having a half order of eggs Benedict because I wanted a couple of different things and didn’t want to waste. Definitely get the iced cafe Wolfgang, the hashbrowns are AMAZING!!, and the banana bread French toast! They have a super convenient text wait time, so they text you once your table is ready! I would definitely go back if we were in town!"

Grand Rapids is dishing up great food at local restaurants!
Everywhere I looked from the moment I got off the plane was a restaurant called Wolfgang’s. The funny thing is I kept seeing crazy adds about what appears to be a bit eccentric Wolfgang and his restaurant. Ads had him in the Austin Powers pose laying in a robe on the bed and hairy chest grabbing the glasses from his head saying “Do I make you hungry baby” and “How the Grinch cooked breakfast.” How could one pass this up?.
