Think omelets, frittatas, benedicts, pancakes, French toast, sandwiches, salads, and more. Huevos rancheros is arguably their most popular dish, topped off with a breakfast cocktail, juice, coffee, or wine.

Some local favorites are: Mr. Lyons Steakhouse (swanky steak and those parker house rolls!); Workshop (very modern and very chic — but get a booth, or sit outside, so you don’t need to sit at the long communal table); Melvyn’s - a renovated and revivified rat-pack-era spot which has which is great for snazzy drinks accompanied by a pianist, followed by a fancy dinner in their dark, stylish and spacious dining room; Birba (great pizzas in a nice outdoor courtyard); mister parker’s (dim, dark and modern, Jonathan Adler style: reopened post-pandemic but now with a dressier dress code including jackets for men) and Norma’s (casual menu with a pretty outdoor terrace), both at the Parker Palm Springs; Copley’s on Palm Canyon (an old standard with a spacious courtyard and reliably good food and service); Jake’s, a casual spot with a comfortable patio, great food, and insane desserts; Cheeky’s (open for breakfast and lunch only); Le Vallauris (fancy traditional French cuisine — request the lovely outdoor courtyard). If you’re looking for an old-school New York Deli and a lean pastrami on rye, there’s Sherman’s.

Head towards the very posh and fancy Norma’s, located inside the boutique hotel Parker Palm Springs. They only accept guests with reservations, which is expected from a swanky place like this, but the ambiance alone is worth planning ahead for. Designed by Jonathan Adler, sitting in the beautiful interior with very modern decor and lighting is an experience on its own, but the outdoor seating with bright orange seats, garden views, and an equally colorful yet tasteful canopy is also gorgeous – perfect for a special occasion brunch, or breakfast.

I’ll be honest—I usually go to Norma’s just so I have an excuse to take photos and visit the incredible Parker Hotel. But, there’s also Rock lobster and mango salad; foie-gras-brioche French toast; artichoke eggs Benedict with truffle-porcini sauce. The hotel itself is one of the most beautifully textured hotels full of color, mid-century galore and art made of varied materials and yarn adorned everywhere — it is lush. They’ve really got it all here. The scenic patio and must-try Bellini make it a total brunch hotspot in Palm Springs.

There's no avoiding the hotel restaurant here, and most are as banal as they are overpriced. But Norma's at the Parker is the exception to the rule. A sprawling patio is home to a ridiculous stack of banana macadamia nut pancakes during the day, crispy fish tacos and pot pie by night.

We stayed at The Parker and just had to eat breakfast every single day at Norma’s. Like everything at the hotel, the vibe is mid century modern chic. We kicked off each morning with the most delicious oat milk lattes, before segueing into hearty Blood Marys.
