After much research and deliberation on my part we finally settled on a local haunt The Tropicale, that is known for its retro tropics vibe and delicious options of various global cuisine and strong drinks. Walking away from the main downtown area, we started to doubt that we were making the right decision…but the moment we stepped inside, we instantly feel in love with the dim mood lighting and feeling like we had just stepped into a Mad Man-esque restaurant. We were seated right away in a booth and I kid you not I had one of the best cobb salads I’ve had in my life.

This is our favorite Happy Hour spot in all of Palm Springs. Their craft cocktails, especially the specialty martinis, keep the good times going for hours, and they have an insanely good brunch that we keep coming back for. We only had a few days to explore this lively city and taste as many restaurants as possible. Some were local finds, others happy accidents, but all were delicious. If you’re not sure what to expect in this desert oasis, let me assure you that, at the very least, you won’t go hungry!

I loved the tropical theme and all of the pink at the Tropicale. It is open Sunday through Thursday from 5-10pm for dinner. You can dine inside or out on the covered patio.

From there, make your way to The Tropicale a supper club restaurant and bar with an awesome tiki patio. Or make tonight game night at Agua Caliente Casinos.
