Gather GVL is celebrated for its incredibly fun and vibrant atmosphere, making it a top spot for socializing and enjoying a lively outdoor experience. Diners rave about the vast variety of food and drink options, with many highlighting unique dishes and the communal dining vibe. "This is a great place , great family area and an amazing array of restaurants..
Great atmosphere and a place for kids to play.
We have eaten here twice, and the pizza the first time was really good, the second time we went to mamma mozzarella, and the meatball sandwiche was very good.
I'd definitely recommend this place, it has something for everyone"

"We drove by this fun food spot as we came into Greenville and walked back to it as soon as we found parking during a busy holiday weekend.

Colorful, fun, inviting and very modern, this food court made from shopping containers that contains multiple food and drink vendors, lots of seating upstairs and down, places in both the sun and shade, and some play areas.

It was packed when we were there and a few of the higher rating vendors weren't open, but Hen Dough was both highly recommended and had a very creative menu.

We had an egg and cheese biscuit sandwich and the amazing Maple Bacon Chicken sandwich, which was INCREDIBLE! Very messy to eat, but so worth it.

We enjoyed it with beer on tap from Greenville Beer Exchange.

Shared tables meant we met others visiting and swapped food recommendations during our visit.

A very fun food court that would be fun to visit regularly and try different food and drinks and enjoy music.

I'd give Gather GVL 5 stars for the fun factor and Hen Dough definitely needs its own shout out with 5 stars.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars"

"What a concept - outdoor food hall partially under roof with 2 floors for seating. Clean restrooms. Adjacent parking is $1 per hour, pay online. Parking across the street was $10. We came here after a group bike ride on the Swamp Rabbit Trail at 2 pm on Saturday, it was packed. Various types of food vendors, covering all types. Quality was above average, prices reasonable, portions adequate. If your group don’t know what to eat, come visit this place."

You can also hit a food hall made of shipping containers at Gather. There’s also the recently relocated Myles Pizza, which Brooker says gets folks driving in all the way from Ohio, as well as the only non-Nashville location of the legendary Prince’s Hot Chicken, which can be found at Greenville brewery Yee-Haw. Speaking of beer, Greenville’s 17-brewery-strong craft beer scene is another industry clearly on the rise.

Where to eat lunch in downtown Greenville, South Carolina

A great spot for a mixed group, though it can be hard to find seats for a large crew, especially at prime times of the day. HenDough and KO Burger are popular choices but the Mama Mozzarella and Palmetto Seafood Co. are kind of hidden gems, featuring some high-quality nibbles from Chef/Owner Baileigh Reardon.
