What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Takosushi garners praise for its unique fusion of sushi and Mexican flavors, with many highlighting fresh ingredients and innovative combinations. The friendly service and vibrant atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating, are frequently mentioned positives. However, some reviews note recent price increases and a decline in food quality, with one instance of missing order items and poorly prepared food.
"Took my party to the next level with their sushi platters tailored to our tastes! Excellent communication and service by Eric Alan and the downtown staff!! I highly recommend and will definitely use them again! Thank you!!"
C Bryan
"I had the most amazing sushi experience here! Every piece was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The fish was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rice was perfectly seasoned and textured. You can tell the chef takes pride in every roll. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. This is hands-down my new favorite sushi spot — I can’t wait to come back!"

"We stopped by after walking around town and were glad to find outdoor seating to enjoy the nice weather. The service was great, and the food was flavorful and tasty. The sushi was fresh, and I especially enjoyed my poke bowl. The other dishes were also delicious and came in generous portions."

More casual restaurants recommended to us were Grill Marks (burgers), Chicora Alley (burgers and mexican), and Takosushi (far east meets southwest). All of the above resturants are on Main St but close by there are even more options. You might also try Golden Brown and Delicious (burgers, sandwiches, noodles, fried things that can be described as golden brown), and we were specifically told to try the sweet potato cake at Brick Street Cafe.

Speaking of trendy, I have to throw in a plug for the place I work at somewhere in here, lol(shameless I know) although it is quite different, I have had many compliments on our sushi as well as our southwest menu(2 seperate menus, no fusion) and its a fun relaxed environment that is moderately priced, so if you feel so inclined, join me sometime at Takosushi in downtown greenville

The best soup in Greenville
One of my favorite weapons against the winter chill is a bowl of the posole from Takosushi. This spicy New Mexico hominy soup is filled with pork and onions and comes complete with all the fixings — cilantro, tomatoes, sour cream, lime, cheese and chips — allowing you to dress up your soup any way you like.
