Reviews Summary

Haleiwa Joe's is praised for its delicious island-inspired cuisine, particularly the seafood and steak options, complemented by friendly and attentive service. Diners also rave about the relaxed atmosphere and stunning harbor views, making it a memorable dining experience. However, some reviews mention inconsistent service and food quality, with a few diners finding the experience average.

"Really enjoy eating our supper here. Had a table with a view of the harbor. Our server was great. Attentive and spent some time giving details on the menu.

I had ribs and the misses had fish. The presentation was excellent and delicious.

The portions were good also. This place fills up at night so go early or get a reservation."

Mike Kutz

"Caught dinner and sunset after an afternoon hike at Waimea Falls.
A short wait, maybe 10 minutes landed us a great table out on the patio with an excellent view of the upcoming sunset.
We started with a shared spicy poke appetizer (so fresh & delicious) and followed by salads.
Everything was really fresh and well seasoned. And service was outstanding. Attentive but not overbearing.
I can definitely see why this place is busy, it’s very good. And the location can’t be beat!"

Joni Meeth

"So glad I ran into the manager walking his dog on the beach, this place is amazing! The food is delicious. Portions are great sized. The service is spectacular. Such a lovely restaurant. We will most definitely be going back very soon."

Restaurants in Haleiwa

After the long drive to the North Shore, watching the boats and surfers come and go from the harbor while you enjoy a mai tai on the open-air lanai here may be just what you need. This casual little joint, just past the Rainbow Bridge, rarely changes (to some, that might feel dated, but regulars appreciate the familiarity); a more upscale Kaneohe location overlooks the lush Haiku Gardens.

Historic Haleiwa town has a strong presence of history with several plantation-era buildings still up, present and operational today. This “landmark” country town known as Haleiwa has maintained most of its historical presence in these ever changing modern times. It’s just a quick and enjoyable detour on your bigger journey, but this town is just what we recommend in-between surfs or scenic stops.

Eat Your Way Through Oahu

Haleiwa Joe’s is more of a tourist spot on the North Shore, it’s slightly pricier than other local restaurants and is usually busy, but I think the fun, tropical atmosphere is worth spending an evening here during your stay!. The appetizer platters are a good way to sample the island’s seafood options; pair it with one of their signature Mai Tai’s and you’re in for a delicious, tropical evening!
