"Great sauces, good food. It was tasty enough, just wish it hadn’t been lukewarm. The Lexington and East Carolina were my favorite sauces. I had the pork shoulder platter with collards and pit roasted veggies. I would have liked to have had some vinegar for the collards, but they didn't have any. I used the East Carolina sauce and that worked. The veggies seem to be steamed, not roasted. D.B. was great and so nice that I didn't want to complain."

The mood of the restaurant is slightly dim and homelike. Most importantly, the service was quick. You will not be disappointed with this place!"

On our visit, however, the brisket came oddly wet and devoid of flavor, with less bark than bitter char on its edges. If Texas was once in the building, it wasn’t on that day.
