Reviews Summary
The Sub Station Mexican Grill is praised for its flavorful fusion of Latin and American dishes and its cozy atmosphere. Many diners highlight the delicious tacos, burritos, and chimichangas, as well as the friendly service. However, some patrons have noted issues with slow service during busy periods and concerns about food preparation methods, such as microwaving.
"Awesome little spot for lunch! They have quite a variety on the menu--from Tacos to Cheese steaks, there is something for everyone. They also bring chips and salsa to your table after taking your drink order. Good stuff! It definitely gets PACKED for the lunch crowd, seats are limited (it's built in an old Waffle House). Get here early if you want a seat for lunch! Nice, clean atmosphere with cool decorations. Friendly and attentive staff as well. Definitely recommend this place!!"

"My first time here but my daughter loves this place. And now I do, too. This is her go to spot for arroz con pollo--not too cheesy and the chicken tastes great. I had the shrimp tacos and they were great. The corn salsa topping was very good. We'll definitely be back."

"In town for work, saw some great reviews and pics of food and thought I’d give it a try. The employees were very kind and great to deal with. However… I ordered the California Burrito. I watched the guy cook the chicken on the flat top and thought man this looks good. When he finished, I watched him take the chicken over to another lady who added the chicken to the other ingredients, then roll it up in the tortilla. I then watched her promptly puts the entire thing in the microwave for 1.5 minutes. I was pretty miffed, but I didn’t say anything, though I should’ve. I got back to my hotel to eat and after one bite I noticed the queso was from a jar and had been melted/blended with yellow American cheese. To say I was beyond disappointed is an understatement. To watch a restaurant microwave your food and top it with jarred cheese dip and plastic-like American cheese is beyond infuriating. Should be a 0-1 star rating, but the people running the restaurant were incredibly kind, so I gave them a bump. It’s a shame because they have great potential."
