Reviews Summary
Kamana Kitchen offers a delightful Indian dining experience with many reviewers praising the authentic flavors and generous portions. The staff are frequently noted for their friendliness and helpfulness, making it a welcoming spot for both seasoned Indian food lovers and newcomers. While some dishes receive high marks, a few reviews mention inconsistencies in spice levels or chicken preparation, and one review highlighted concerns about vegetarian preparation and restroom cleanliness.
"We arrived here for dinner on the Christmas day. This rating is for the staff - who were visibly understaffed and doing their best to welcome the relentless guests with a smile. They were huffing and puffing all throughout our meal. Huge ups for the staff to keep the business open on a holiday.
We got vegetable pakora, butter chicken, mango lassi and chicken biryani. The pakora was a little oily for our liking but was well seasoned. The butter chicken was decent with creamy gravy. The biryani was a little spicy for medium level and leaned more towards pulao. The chicken pieces in the biryani were chewy and overcooked.
The food isn’t the best nor the most authentic but that’s a discussion for another day. If you come looking for Indian food in Hawaii, that’s on you. The food was decent enough with amazing staff and we were grateful for a meal on a holiday night."

"First of all the staff was very friendly. Ordered the tiki masala, medium heat and garlic naan. It came with a small portion of delicious rice. Chasing Medium heat was perfect for me, spicy but not too hot.
Have to say this was the BEST naan bread I’ve ever eaten. Perfectly crispy on the bottom, yet soft and so flavorful on the top. No burnt garlic, as I’ve gotten elsewhere.
As for the chicken in my tiki masala, unfortunately the chicken was very dry. The sauce was good, a little more warm spices than I typically like, but it was good.
As for the atmosphere, the booth I was seated and had a bright light right above it And the restaurant itself was not extremely welcoming.
I’ve noticed this a lot of her here in Hawaii. So I wasn’t Super disappointed. Other than that bright light.
Also, I didn’t have anyone really come back to my table and ask if everything was OK or if I’d like to have dessert. I think they made a missing on some revenue by not Suggesting certain beverages and also desserts.
Definitely good value for the money. I took half of my meal home with me and reheat it for lunch and it was As good if not better today. I would recommend reheating any of Me, Meet entrées On the stove top and if you happen to get some of the delicious naan and have an air fryer, that’s the way to go. All in all I would definitely recommend.KAMANA Kitchen
One more thing, it’s kinda hard to actually find the restaurant. There’s a sign in the plaza that’s not lit up. No signage pointing down a Type of alleyway where the restaurants are located. I could smell the food, but couldn’t find the restaurant until I asked someone who was in the parking lot."

"We went here on the way back from Volcano national park back to Waikoloa. Quick and friendly service. Good Indian food. Medium spicy was not spicy enough for us. Their pickle is sweet."
