What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Duke's Waikiki is praised for its stunning beachfront location, lively atmosphere, and classic Hawaiian dishes, especially the iconic Hula Pie. While many enjoy the friendly service and delicious cocktails, some find the prices, particularly for the salad bar, to be on the higher side, and a few have noted inconsistencies with certain entrees.
"I visited Duke's 4 years ago with my husband and really loved their location and atmosphere. So when I had to make a dinner reservation for my large family gathering, I knew where to go. I made a reservation for 15 people about 1.5 months before our visit. The manager was very accommodating and kind to find a spot for the large party.
On the day of the visit, everything went very well! We got a huge table for the whole family, and everyone enjoyed their drinks and food. Our server was extremely kind and patient with the large group. Though their menu selection is not huge (which is good for people who can't make decisions when there are a lot of items on a menu), the food was delicious, and the main dishes had huge portions.
I was worried about how this would turn out, but Duke's really made sure everything went smoothly. Highly recommended and would definitely go back again!"

"Duke's Waikiki, located on the first floor of the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort, is hands-down the go-to breakfast spot in Waikiki, and it's no wonder it's always topping Yelp and Google Maps rankings. For just $30, their breakfast buffet is a steal, packed with everything from hot foods, fresh fruits to pastries, plus coffee and tea. You can even get a custom omelette made to order. The real kicker? You're dining with a jaw-dropping ocean view of Waikiki Beach that makes every bite feel like a vacation.
The service here is fantastic--our server Charlie was super friendly and on top of everything, making the meal even more enjoyable. I was obsessed with the fresh Hawaiian papaya (way cheaper than in LA!) and the Portuguese sausage, which was savory perfection. They even have chilled plates for the fruit and salad bar to keep things fresh. If you're in Waikiki, Duke's is a must for a delicious breakfast with a side of beach vibes. Highly recommend!"

"Nicest place. On the beach. Great lights and live music.
Took 20 minutes to the waiter to reach me for order but other then that was very nice and welcoming.
I had the “prime rib staek” which was definitely corn fed and tasted like cheapest steak I have ever eaten.
Look at the color in the picture it was curiously red🤨
French fries was cool but not really throughly made. Mashed potatoes was perfect and freshly made."

Where to Eat and Drink in Waikiki Beach
If you make one dinner reservation while in Waikiki, make sure it’s Duke’s. It was recommended to us by everyone—both all our friends before we left for the trip, and then everyone in Waikiki said we had to go. (They also do lunch, but I think it was the perfect dinner spot given it feels more like an ‘upscale’ spot for a beach vacation!) They also have an outside bar with a more casual menu if you aren’t able to get a reservation, but the wait for that while we were there was two+ hours.
