"Excellent coffee. Just as good as Melbourne coffee in Australia. Creamy and strong. No burnt flavour which was great and consistently good coffee. Pastries are divine. I can see why the line can get quite long in the morning first thing. If you’re a coffee connoisseur it’s worth the wait. The beans are locally sourced from Hawaii and the pastries are from San Francisco I believe and won multiple awards. I went back everyday during our stay."

I’m not a “coffee” drinker but I did buy some to take home because the flavors sound amazing. This place is so busy, I arrived at 6:50am and there were already 30 people in front of me. "Another one of our breakfast choices was this place, mainly because it was close to our hotel. Of course, the large number of positive reviews also caught our attention. The prices seemed a bit higher than in other spots, but let’s set that aside.
I had a mushroom sandwich (or something along those lines), and it was fairly tasty, but it didn’t leave much of an impression on me. What really stood out, though, was the coffee — and not in a good way. Honestly, it was terrible. Probably one of the worst coffees I’ve ever had. It was extremely bitter and just not enjoyable at all. Even my iced coffee was bad, and as for the hot coffee my friends ordered — it was awful too.
I really don’t recommend ordering coffee here. Overall, I don’t think I would come back."

This bakery in San Francisco popularized the kouign-amann, and at this Waikīkī outpost, the sugar-crusted, flaky and buttery pastry is still one of the main reasons I’ll stand in line. But once I’m in front of B. Patisserie’s full spread of pastries and gorgeous cakes, I have a hard time not picking up a few extra sweets, from a passion fruit lemon meringue tart to citrus panna cotta to a hefty chocolate chip cookie that’s more like a river of chocolate bound together by a chewy and crisp-edged dough.
