"Excellent experience dining at LJ for Houston Restaurant Week 2025. My Mother & I, both dined in for their lunch menu. The food was plated beautifully as you can see, the flavor was even better. Service was outstanding, I can’t remember a moment that went by; where my mom and I were in need of something. I would definitely make reservations to come back again for the dinner menu. I can see why this restaurant has a Michelin star.. hopefully two come soon!"

"Everything was incredible. Food was outstanding! Every dish was thoughtful and curated. We recently visited Japan and there was definitely some dishes that felt Japanese inspired- in the level of execution, components of each dish, and how harmonious each plate was in not only flavor but presentation.

However, the real star of our dinner was our server, Diana. We have eaten all over the world, and Diana provided one of the most exceptional services ever. She was so patient with my indecisive personality, she was thorough and clear in explaining each dish, and helped us make the perfect choices for our dinner. Her recommendations from cocktails, appetizers, entrees, to dessert were excellent. Thank you!

"First time visiting this place and would definitely go back! initially, we were going due to the three course meal that they had, but we eventually ended up going with the five course meal and the best decision we ever made. To be fair service was a little iffy, when we were sat we got drinks and then forgotten about for 20 minutes. We ordered once our server came back to the table and after that it was great! i loved the wait in between courses since it made us hungry all over again and able to enjoy the next course without feeling stuffed! i would say the dessert was disappointing the pistachio ice cream was very sweet and the cherry pastry was extremely tart, it didn’t pair well in my opinion. I left kind of sad due to the dessert since the steak was the best dish over all i was expecting the dessert to go way and beyond but it just didn’t for me."

Le Jardinier – The fine-dining star of the latest grand addition to the Museuetm of Fine Arts complex, the Kinder Building, this also succeeds grandly serving fairly ambitious modern French restaurant fare that largely substitutes many non-Gallic influences for the tradition extending from Escoffier through Bocuse. The results are interesting, intelligently composed and artfully constructed while being delectable, most importantly, from the amuse-bouche through dessert. Maybe not cutting-edge – foams are frequent, not entirely au courant while working very well at a meal in the summer, for example – but this is still something different for Houston.
