What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Purveyor offers an upscale American dining experience with creative dishes and impeccable service, making it ideal for celebrations. While many praise the sophisticated ambiance and innovative flavors, a few diners found the portions small for the price and the food quality inconsistent.
"We celebrated my mom’s birthday here, and it was an amazing experience! Every dish we ordered was fantastic, but the standout favorite was the lobster cream corn — an absolute must-try. We also had the giant sweet water prawns, black bass, and scallops, all of which were delicious and skillfully prepared to highlight the natural flavors of the seafood. I’m always wary of dishes being overly salty, but that wasn’t an issue here; everything was perfectly balanced. The service was impeccable, making the evening even more special. I’ll definitely be returning for the next special occasion!"

"This was a phenomenal dining experience! Everything from the food, the waitstaff, and the building itself was first class. My husband and I dined here to celebrate Valentine’s Day and took advantage of the special Valentine’s Day menu option. Every course was artfully presented and delivered an amazing taste experience. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu, which was great since it was our first time dining here. The space we were seated in felt very intimate and added to the overall experience. I feel that the price of the menu items is fair considering the quality and presentation of them!!"

"This restaurant group puts out great food and better service at the two establishments we went to. The pork belly was delicious. The show stopper was the salad wrapped in nori...it was unbelievable. Great short rib and looked like a great craft cocktail menu."

Backstory: Mazzara’s is named for Kennedy-Mell’s great grandparents, Carmela and Stefano Mazzara, a Sicilian couple who liked to cook everything from chicken parmigiana to eggplant rollatini. “They came over through Ellis Island with my grandfather when he was a child,” she says, “and it’s just kind of a homage to the Italian side of my family.” Kennedy-Mell and co-owner/husband Matt Mell entered the Huntsville food and beverage scene in 2014 with their Church Street Wine Shoppe. In 2017, they opened upscale and imaginative restaurant Purveyor downtown.
