Reviews Summary

Kaizen Shabu is celebrated for its high-quality meats, particularly the Wagyu beef, and its flavorful, often innovative broths. The exceptional hospitality from the staff and owner is frequently highlighted, creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, some find certain items, like the salmon, to be less impressive for the price.

"Recommended meat and broth was delicious. Thought they might recommend the most expensive but on a budget it was phenomenal. Since it was my first time they even gave me a shot for free to take with them. Atmosphere was great because of the hospitality. 5 star all around, highly recommended"

"Great little Shabu Shabu in the heart of Santa Ana.

We had the Wagyu beef broth which was rich and flavorful. I had the prime rib 10 oz beef which was the perfect thickness and soft. I will be back the next time I am in OC."

Lawylin

"Yes yesterday I tried this spot for the first time. Was seated quickly and our sever Jake helped choose the broth we’d like the best very helpful. I got the ribeye with Tonkotsu. The broth was so tasty way better than local places I’ve tried will be returning :)."

You can also choose to add ramen noodles to your broth. The high-quality ingredients don’t end with food (though you should try the mochi ice cream for dessert!) – they have a curated cocktail list (some of which include “secrets” and “mystery”) as well as Japanese whiskeys, craft beers, and an extensive sake list.
