Viva Taqueria closes early, but they have a lot of really great healthy options for those who want to avoid the dreaded freshman fifteen. Farther into the Commons, you’ll find Thompson and Bleecker, whose gourmet wood-fired pizza can’t be beat. I’m still drooling thinking about the hot honey and spicy tomato sauce.

We love to send guests to Viva Taqueria in Ithaca, which has an extensive menu of Margaritas. In particular, we recommend Mikey’s, which features Cointreau, Grand Manier, and Patron. Another great one is the Smokey Joint with Mezcal tequila, or the Purist, which has nothing but pure lime juice in it.

You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, and their margaritas are to die for. Fair warning, they do not take reservations and do not seat you until your entire party is there. Viva gets busy quick so try getting there early or just plan on sitting at the bar while you wait for a table.
