Picnic is a café in West Jackson from the same team behind Persephone. The warm and airy design, done by local firm E/YE Design, took inspiration from what they describe as the “Jackson uniform”: used denim. It's open for breakfast and lunch, and you can't go wrong with anything on its health-focused menu.

From the moment I stepped into Picnic, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The elegant decor and soft lighting created a sophisticated yet cozy ambiance that immediately put me at ease. The staff at Picnic were not only attentive, but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu.

Persephone and Picnic are owned by the same people so everything is the same except the environment. The downtown Persephone gets slammed and I avoid it at all costs, but the West Bank is usually very chill. Picnic has the least attractive environment but it is usually the most mellow.

They take their coffee seriously here, offering a wide selection of brews made from beans sourced from Equator Coffees & Teas, a California-based coffee roaster. Their menu also features delicious breakfast and lunch options. Try their pastries – they're absolutely decadent!

Located two miles outside of Jackson Hole is the new kid on the block, so to speak, and has already made quite an impression. Voted best new restaurant by locals, PIcnic makes every pastry fresh daily. This bakery has a full menu, and serves breakfast until 3 pm!

Primarily a local joint, Picnic Coffee and Cafe is buzzing with activity first thing in the morning, especially on weekends. The cafe is located in a more commercial part of town, so it can be a little hard to find. Make sure to have your GPS handy.

If you are visiting Jackson during the warmer months, the outdoor seating is great. Picnic Coffee and Café carry a delicious selection of pastries from Persephone (more on them later), a delicious breakfast menu, and made-to-order pour over coffee.

Serving breakfast from 7am until 3pm, they have something for just about everyone. Definitely an OTG (On-The-Go) spot, you’ll find menu items from Smoked Salmon and Cucumber Toast to Biscuits & Burrito’s to their Savory Sunrise Bowl.

French inspired breakfast and lunch menus’ focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The three cafes carry a core collection of classic artisanal breads as well as a spectrum of sweets, baked fresh every morning.

At this point, pull out your picnic lunch to eat along the side of the Firehole River. You’ll have beautiful views and can relax while you eat. Remember that swimming and wading are not allowed here!

There’s also Picnic for the west-enders, Pearl Street Bagels for the old school locals and Cowboy Coffee for new school locals. All are good for a morning brew, baked treat and chit chat.

We came here for breakfast on our last day in town and so glad we did. I especially loved The Jackson Hippie breakfast sandwich. Thanks for being so accommodating to gluten-free diners.
