Reviews Summary
The Kitchen is celebrated for its exceptional service, where attentive staff and management create a warm, memorable dining experience, especially for special occasions. Diners rave about the flavorful, well-prepared dishes, inventive cocktails, and delightful desserts. While the ambiance is often described as vibrant, some reviews mention it can be quite loud. A few diners have reported issues with service reliability and inconsistencies, particularly during busy periods or with new staff.
"Came for dinner with family and friends and could not have been more pleased. Every meal was well made, flavorful and well presented. The pork chop was delicious and moist, the polenta perfectly done, and the tamarind sauce was epic. As good as the food is, the staff is better. Our server was great, attentive and friendly, but the manager was absolutely amazing. She was friendly and enthusiastic, happy to answer any questions and recommend great options. She was OUTSTANDING. Dessert was also pretty epic, the chocolate mousse torte was delicious. Only issues are iffy parking and the room is very loud. Defintely recommend getting a reservation. This place is super busy and in demand, for good reason. Will be returning as often as we are able!"

"This place is amazing! We were traveling from Northern Montana to Jackson, WY, and we were running late. The manager, a wonderful man, tried everything to make our anniversary dinner much better and more memorable for us. We arrived on time, they kept our table ready in a nice place where we could have a nice view of the restaurant and privacy as well. The manager of the restaurant gave us complimentary champagne and appetizers as he knew we had driven for 8-9 hours, and he talked to us upon our arrival to make us comfortable. Next was our server, who was amazing, chatty, and lovely. She was good with recommendations and suggested good dishes. We loved both the appetizers and main courses. The cocktails were very well prepared and stirred. I loved their dessert menu with a skillet cookie, as it was not what I was expecting but freshly prepared cookies with ice cream. Overall, amazing people, food, and great ambiance. I highly recommend this place, knowing you will not be disappointed if you go there."

Since then, his Fine Dining Restaurant Group has opened six venues—including The Kitchen and, most recently, Enoteca, an après-ski spot with a top-notch wine list—as well as an artisanal ice cream brand and the craft meats company Bovine & Swine. Fine recalls a time when fresh fish were flown in twice a week from the West Coast, but the coolers were often booted off the small planes due to weight or weather, requiring him to retrieve them from the next flight in his truck and race them to the kitchen. A few years ago FedEx solved all that, along with the area’s impossibly short growing season, with the 2016 debut of Vertical Harvest, a high-tech garden in a Jackson garage that supplies up to 100,000 pounds of produce a year to local restaurants and groceries.

Jackson Hole Guide: Where To Stay, Eat, Ski And Shop Like A Local
Chef Joe Boyles’ inventive cuisine at The Kitchen takes its cues from Asian influences by way of whatever’s fresh in the mountains, ranches and rivers. That means fish, meats and vegetables are seasonal, even in snowy seasons, and the menu hews toward hearty dishes like Angus strip steak and braised lamb from Fall River Ranch, Wyoming. It also has one of my favorite vegetarian dishes in the valley—General Joe’s Tofu, atop quinoa, broccolini, sesame, cilantro, in a citrus soy.
