Reviews Summary

Pel'meni is celebrated for its authentic and delicious Russian dumplings, offering hearty portions at affordable prices. Diners rave about the unique flavor combinations, especially the curry topping, and the cozy, friendly atmosphere. While seating is limited and it's cash-only, most find the wait and process well worth the tasty reward. It's considered a must-try spot for a satisfying and unique meal in Juneau.

"I usually go there for the atmosphere and food. Usually, it takes about 8 minutes from the time you order for them to prepare it and serve you. If it's not busy, they'll take song requests. The price is $9 for either the beef or potato dumplings. I'm a little upset about the new drink prices. Drinks are now $2, whereas before they were $1 each. I usually find myself there when Chessa is working. I've had great customer experiences with Maya as well. Their newer employee Jacob has been out due to health issues, so let's hope he gets better soon.

They have public service announcements and posters on the window for the community to read and advertise. They allowed me to place my sign for a rally I organized in support of Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders.

I wish they'd serve breakfast. Maybe sausage dumplings with white gravy? They could have mild and spicy sausage as options. There's really nowhere affordable for breakfast downtown. We have Sandpier and Heritage Coffee, but nowhere cheap and easy like Pelmeni's that has breakfast. Just my thoughts."

"Excellent dumplings, strongly recommend. The dumplings are very hearty and warming. My wife got butter on her potato dumplings and I got the meat with curry. I highly recommend the curry!

The music was killer and the customer service was great! She answered all of our questions and made excellent suggestions.

If you’re looking for an affordable & filling meal, this is the place.

Limited seating, but it looked like most folks ate and left quickly."

"The dumplings were soft and flavorful, definitely the highlight of the meal. The curry was generously portioned, though the flavor was just okay for me. That said, it’s an affordable spot in Juneau, Alaska, which makes it a solid option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly bite.

If you’re a fan of dumplings, this place is worth checking out — just don’t expect to be blown away."
