Reviews Summary

V's Cellar Door offers a unique and highly praised Mexican-Korean fusion experience, with many highlighting the flavorful nachos and creative cocktails. While the cozy underground atmosphere and friendly service are often lauded, some diners have encountered issues with slow service and inconsistent food quality, particularly regarding the signature sauce.

"We randomly found this place today. The nachos are a must order. Our server was Gustavo. He was friendly and did a great job explaining all about the menu and drinks."

Byron B

"The food was sooo unique and good. The vegan options are not fully vegan. I’m not sure if that was a server error (it’s ok!) or what. But cheese (dairy) and fish sauces are not vegan. It’s ok and everything was still good! The atmosphere is quiet and calming. service"

Katherine

"Great service! Great menu and vibe!
The food was great too... except they put the special sauce on just about everything coming out of the kitchen and we didn't like the sauce. My suggestion would be to request no sauce on the food. There are bottles on every table. If it's your jam, you can put it on yourself."

Chef Venietia Santana fuses Mexican and Korean cuisine at V’s Cellar Door, a speak-easy-meets-restaurant located in a sultry basement corridor in downtown Juneau. Santana makes her own spruce-tip gin and shrub tonic, made from carbonating berries in vinegar, and you can sample more of her creations in cocktail form, like the Juneau Diplomat, inclusive of both sweet and dry vermouth and house-made maraschino liqueur. Top off your meal with fusion dishes like the caramelized kimchi quesadillas, made with Santana’s secret sauce, which melds the best of Korean and Mexican flavors.
