Reviews Summary

Moke's Bread & Breakfast is a beloved spot praised for its authentic island flavors, especially the highly recommended Lilikoi Pancakes. The cozy, beachy ambiance and friendly service add to the positive dining experience, though parking can be a challenge and waits can be long during peak times.

"Post hike brunch after doing an extended hike past the pillboxes🤙Decided to finally check this spot out in Kailua since heard the lilikoi pancakes were good👍

Wasnt too busy on a Saturday mid morning, found paid street parking nearby (glad I had some quarters).

Friendly service, was seated right away. Decided on the 2 piece Lilikoi pancakes, and ordered the Moke Nui omelette and the Homemade Corned Beef Hash.

Lilikoi pancakes are worth the hype👍 and overall we were satisfied with what we ordered. Prices were on the high side but thats the price of paradise🤙

Food was more than enough to share for 2 people, we ended up bringing a decent amount left home too. 5 stars."

"Found this place via Google Maps. Lilikoi pancakes and poppyseed muffins were great. I had the #2 breakfast and the biscuit, eggs and bacon were just right. Covered seating outdoors by the sidewalk was pleasant, although view of street and parked vehicles nothing to shout about. Metered parking on the street. (And someone was patrolling the street checking meters and writing tickets while we were at the restaurant. ) Note, nothing available for strictly vegan diets. No substitutions/ customizations on the omelets. Service was very nice and helpful, prompt."

"Wonderful experience here! The wait was a bit long but WORTH IT! We met the owner and he suggested we order the Lilikoi pancakes w/ the mango sauce on the side! What a great choice! We were able to try both delicious sauces with the mango being the winner and our favorite! Fluffy pancakes and one of the best meals we ate on the island! The owner was so sweet and came over to check on us which made our experience! Service was friendly too! We will be coming back soon!"

Between Kāneʻohe Pancake House, mentioned later on this list, and Moke’s Bread & Breakfast, I would say it’s a hard choice to pick the better of the two!. That being said, Moke’s Bread & Breakfast, located in both Kaimukī and Kailua, is a great local breakfast diner that I love visiting after an early morning sunrise hike at nearby trails, like the Hanauma Bay Rock Bridge or the Oneʻawa Hills.
