Moke’s is one of my favorite breakfast places in all of Oahu. The Lilikoi Pancakes really steal the show here!. The loco moco is equally as good (you can even get it with fried rice) so if you’re looking for something savory to balance out the sweetness, definitely order this dish.

Kayaking out to the Mokes is a favorite among both tourists and locals. Launch from Lanikai Beach to ocean kayak out to the larger of the islands, Moku Nui. Permits are required for landing on Moku Nui, and are often included in kayak rentals and guided tours.

The Mokes are a pair of tiny islands that sit roughly 1.5 miles away from Kailua Beach Park. If you depart from Lanikai Beach, the Mokes are even closer to shore. The Mokes consist of both a small island (Moku Iki) and a big island (Moku Nui).
