Reviews Summary

Asian Garden Sushi Bar garners mixed reviews, with many praising the exceptional freshness and quality of its sashimi, often compared favorably to offerings in larger cities. However, some diners have noted issues with the rice-to-filling ratio in rolls and concerns about the automatic gratuity policy. The unique 'monkey brains' appetizer is a frequently recommended item, adding to the restaurant's distinctive appeal.

"We came from the cruise ship and my kid was hungry so we asked what she wanted to eat and she said noodles! So we looked for some Asian food around the area and walked into this place. It did not disappoint! The wonton noodle was not how we normally have it, as it was a little spicy for my kid, but my husband and I throughly enjoyed the togarashi in it. I forgot what sushi roll we got but it was good and the bento box was delicious as well. The servers were very enthusiastic and friendly which made the experience even better. Great place for Asian food!"

"Dirty restaurant, filthy bathrooms, the waiter didn’t even come to my table. He just yelled at me and asked me what I wanted. Which is fine, whatever. No water or tea offered or given. Miso soup tasty but cold Sushi came out in 60 seconds. And it looked like he prepared it in 60 seconds. Big blobs of messy pieces with tons of over sugared rice. The seafood in the rolls was the only redeeming quality. Nice fresh fish. And gratuity was included so I was stuck with paying 15% for the terrible service."

Elke Barnes

"This was probably the blandest sushi I've ever had. It barely tasted like sushi at all — more like a sushi ball! It was pretty pricey at $17, and honestly, I didn't think it was worth it."

This is a great local Asian restaurant with a mix of dishes from various Asian countries. They use local fresh fish and have good sushi and my favourite dish is “monkey brain”. It is an avocado filled with crab where the stone was, deep-fried and covered in a delicious secret sauce.
