Diaz Cafe is a beloved Ketchikan institution, praised for its authentic Filipino and Asian cuisine and warm, family-run atmosphere. Diners rave about classic dishes like lumpia, pancit, and sweet and sour ribs, often noting the food tastes just like it did decades ago. While the intimate setting can get lively, the friendly service and delicious, home-style cooking make it a must-visit for both locals and those seeking a taste of home away from home.

"Hidden gem just off the (very) beaten path in Ketchikan. The cruise crowds don’t know about this place and it’s phenomenal. Limpia, ginger beef and pancit are to die for, and the family who run it are so warm and friendly! Found it by accident and so glad we did. Highly recommended."

"First time here for their Chinese food. We ordered the chicken chow mein and veggies soft noodles. Both dishes tasted delicious. Glad to eat something different after eating the cruise ship food. We talked to the grandson of the owner. They have been running this restaurant since the 60’s. We were glad to chat with him and know more about their family own business. Highly recommend this restaurant if you Judy want some Chinese food."

Take a break from salmon saturation at this Old Town Ketchikan spot on historic Stedman Street. The café serves hearty Filipino cuisine beloved both of locals and cruise-ship staffers hungry for a taste of home, and the linoleum-and-tile 1950s interior is a wonderful time warp.

The truffle fries are also fabulous and the burgers pair well with an ale (I had one of the blondes). Press the question mark key to get the keyboard shortcuts for changing dates. I ordered the pork bbq and the kare-kare, and both were awesome!

Diaz Cafe has always been here, it was one of my first restaurants, and Rudy and Clara have treated me and mine as one of their family. Great size and the flavor was exactly what we expected. I thought it was Inihaw na baboy, not.
