Reviews Summary
Sourdough Bar is lauded as a unique, authentic local spot in Ketchikan, praised for its friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff who make tourists feel at home. Guests appreciate the historic ambiance, the collection of shipwreck photos, and the availability of local drinks and classic bar games. While it's a bar with no food, it's considered a must-visit for a taste of local culture and a good time.
"Great bar with great service. They also have a liquor store attached up front with some great Sourdough Cocktail Bar merchandise. They have a couple of pool table, pulltabs and plenty of seating. When the cruise ships are in it can get a little crowded but doesn’t last long as most are just passing through. I come up here every year for a fishing trip and always spend a little time hanging out here. Staff is great and very friendly. Prices are decent considering it is a tourist town during the summer. If you are in town you have to stop in and ask why they are called Sourdoughs."

"Unique local bar! Tourist must stop here even to take pictures. Try the Alaskan beer. Not pricey! Locals come here and beer and service fantastic. Pictures of ship wrecks from the area and lots of stuff from contributors hanging on the wall. Entrance by the only light in town. Clean and comfortable. This place has history."

"Clean bathrooms! COLD beer. Happy bartender. Locals welcoming cruise passengers. I love this bar. Walls are covered with old pics of shipwrecks (it seems people get stuck on the rocks a lot). I would love to come back."
