Many are familiar with Roy’s and this restaurant does not disappoint either. Apparently named after the restaurant started by a Chef in the mid 1800s who started a place called Eating House using local food. That’s the tradition.

One of the best restaurants here in Kauai, also more expensive but well worth it. Servers are knowledgeable about Gluten allergies and will suggest things on the menu. Short ribs were real tasty.

The Eating House – This great little spot in Poipu was the perfect mix of casual and upscale. We got a fantastic kale salad and poke, but the burgers looked the best to me!

Eating House 1849 by Roy Yamaguchi is a splurge but well worth it. We enjoyed our dinner here so much that we went back the following night!

It is a fine dining restaurant that is more appropriate for romantic dinners. You probably won’t want to take younger children there.
