I used to be The Taco Stand h8er, but they’re always in great locations and serve consistent, fresh food, something some great taquerias fail to do. Reviews Summary

The Taco Stand is a highly popular spot celebrated for its authentic Tijuana-style tacos, burritos, and fresh churros. Reviewers consistently praise the quality of ingredients, especially the handmade tortillas and flavorful meats like al pastor and carne asada. While lines can be long, most agree the wait is worth it for the delicious and reasonably priced food. Some minor issues mentioned include occasional seating challenges and inconsistent flavor in less popular items.

"Hands down the best fish taco in San Diego!
Line was long but it moved pretty fast.
Carne Asada taco was awesome. Perfectly seared chunky meat and so smoky and tasty.
Salsa bar had different kinds of salsa and condiments.

Hard to grab a seat and need to be little aggressive to secure seats since they are busy all the time. There are few tables and counter space and some outdoor seating.

Definitely one of the best taco spot in west coast. Don’t miss it!"

Amy Kang

"We often stop by The Taco Stand after a walk or a swim in the ocean to grab some delicious tacos. I wasn’t really a fan of this type of food before — probably because I hadn’t tried anything that truly impressed me. But this place changed my mind.
It’s definitely popular, and there are usually long lines — but that just means it’s worth it. The food is genuinely good. My favorites are the shrimp and chicken tacos — super flavorful and satisfying.
There’s something for everyone here, whether you want to sit and eat or grab your food to go and enjoy it while walking.
I really like this location. I’ve tried The Taco Stand in other places, but so far, this one is my favorite. Highly recommend!"

Iryna Yaresko-Linska

"Stumbled upon this cute place while searching for tacos in La Jolla. This is hands down best tacos and burritos in La Jolla area. The taco hangover lasted from previous night’ dinner that I had to return for breakfast. Ordered the soft shell freshly made corn tortillas tacos. Tried their carne asada, pollo asado, el pastor, Baja and Camaron tacos. All tacos tasted great, but the el pastor was the best.
They have a rotisserie for el pastor and it’s got the best marinade and flavor. The next day for breakfast, there were breakfast burritos but made a repeat order of el pastor in California burrito style.
Long lines, fast moving, small seating area but moving crowd.
Best el pastor tacos and burritos in the area❤️"
