Managed by the Ellman family, HONU is located by the shore of Lahaina’s blue waters. My go-to at Honu is the kale salad which is vegetarian, I’m actually not sure if the dressing has dairy, my gut says no - its a lemon vinaigrette, but I haven’t specifically asked so dont quote me on that. It is topped with parmesan but they’re really accommodating to dietary restrictions and allergies so they’ll be sure to nix the cheese if you want. The ali’i mushroom pizza for those who eat dairy is super solid also and Margherita no cheese.

Situated mere steps away from the beach, Honu Oceanside is a contender for the best Maui restaurant for those in search of a delicious meal with a view. Offering outdoor patio dining with incredible vistas of the Pacific Ocean, this fine-dining restaurant is as scenic as it is delicious. I am not sure if it is the hazelnut cherry bread, but there is something about this appetizer that is highly addictive. It’s the perfect combo of crispy and creamy and so very tasty. Honu is open 11 am to 9 pm daily.

Very inviting and cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view of the ocean, especially during sunset. Located not far from the downtown Front street attractions and retail/tourist area. The food was outsanding.
