The Gazebo has a strange, tucked-away location behind the pool of the Napili Shores resort complex, but don't worry: the massive line—which is often 20 people deep even before the restaurant opens at 7:30 a.m.—will show you the way. There's fresh coffee while you wait and, at the end, you're rewarded with sweeping ocean views, low-key beach-hut vibes, and one of the best breakfasts in West Maui. We love the combo pancakes, which come topped with pineapple, banana, crushed macadamia nuts, and light-as-air coconut whipped cream, and—if you like—a generous dousing of coconut syrup.

Hidden out of the way at the Napili Shores condos is The Gazebo, a poolside restaurant that has a small amount of open-air seating space and offers take-out. The wait can be long, but the food and the view of Napili Bay make it worth the wait. Their menu offers a variety of pancakes, omelettes, salads, sandwiches, and burgers.

Try and get there 30 minutes before they open to beat the line. We waited for about an hour after arriving a tad after 7:30a, but saw the most amazing rainbow while waiting (pictured below along with the pancakes that I was too excited to eat and forgot to take a picture of them whole). Pro-tip: You can go around the back to place an order go (see where the lady is standing in the picture), then sit right on the beach and enjoy your meal with a view of Napili Bay!

Prepare to wait – either in line, or for them to open because you got in line early. But either way, it is SO WORTH IT. This restaurant is literally in a gazebo, and no frills (so much so, they don’t even have a website), and is tucked away around a smaller, older, resort, right off the beach. Once we finally got seated, we got their most popular items: mac nut pancakes with coconut syrup, half order of fried rice and split the Big Kahuna scramble.

Located right along the shoreline at the Napali Shores hotel, you'll find parking in the spots designated at the hotel (they were all full when we arrived at 7:45a) there is also plenty of street parking nearby. I don't think it matters what time you arrive, there is likely to be a line that you'll have to wait in just to make it to the host stand.
