Josephine’s Downtown opened in September 2019 at 50 West Grant Street in downtown Lancaster next to Central Market and the Fulton Theatre. Josephine’s is a French-inspired fine dining restaurant led by Executive Chef Daniel LeBoon, who spent time honing his culinary talent in Paris and the celebrated Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia.

Josephine’s offers classic fine dining in the elegant lower level of the former Carr’s Restaurant building just steps from Lancaster Central Market and the Fulton Theater. The atmosphere harkens back to a swanky supper club with crystal chandeliers, black & white photos of Hollywood stars, a floor-to-ceiling blue velvet banquette and a grand piano.

Featured menu items include duck breast, swordfish milanese, and Josephine’s Garden of Eatin (cucumber tofu tzatziki, roasted farmers market vegetables, baby kale & basil, citrus pesto, and spiced cashews). The restaurant also has a menu of Hollywood cocktails, named after some of the biggest stars to grace movie and TV screens.

Josephine’s roots extend to Marietta, where Chef Daniel Le Boon’s French-inspired menu attracted legions of fans. Despite its closure in 2011, Josephine’s lived on in the palates of its fans. Several years later, Daniel became the Belvedere’s executive chef and ultimately became part of the restaurant group’s management team.
