Zooks is without a doubt, one of the best Amish bakeries I have ever been in this area, and there are quite a few. Their chicken pot pies are a favorite of all, but my unholy sweet tooth won’t allow me to leave without buying at least two or three packages of cookies/baked rolls/pies/etc. I highly recommend the oatmeal raisin bars, that is if you can find them in stock. Stuff goes pretty quick here, so get there early if you want to get in on it!"

"As we got ready to drive home, i wanted to stop at Zook's to buy a couple of their frozen chicken pies, one for dinner after we got home to keep things simple and tasty. We also bought some frozen sticky buns. Everything kept very well on the 5 hour drive in the little cooler and we had a chicken pie for dinner which was scrumptious. They also have canned goods and other grocery items. The store is spotlessly clean! i think we have a new tradition, a way to bring home a little Amish cooking with us."
