Reviews Summary
New Mandarin Restaurant is a long-standing establishment offering typical Chinese cuisine with generous portions. While many praise the fresh ingredients, friendly service, and crispy textures, some reviews mention inconsistencies in food quality, with occasional issues of overcooked or under-flavored dishes. Despite occasional dips in quality, it remains a popular choice for those craving Chinese food in Laramie.
"Yum! This place is really delicious! I am a huge fan of crab rangoon and their wontons here are very good! Too good I forgot a picture! Same with the potstickers- sooooooo good! We also loved the hot and sour soup- enough for 3 of us. We also tried the vegetable fried rice - really good and the egg rolls. Will definitely be back - very friendly and quick service."

"Really quiet with not a lot of people dining (6:30p.m.). Shockingly fast service and food was out very quickly and very hot/fresh. The sesame chicken was amazing, but my wife's General's chicken was a little underwhelming on the flavor front. Came with more than enough rice. Overall, will be going back."

"WOULD NOT STOP HERE AGAIN. SESAME CHICKEN WAS ROCK HARD. Food used to be really good here, not sure if they have a new cook that allows food to sit under the heat lamp or the food if was a few hours old, but the chicken was SO HARD. The wontons were also semi-soggy. It was garbage. I called to see if we could get at least HALF refunded (for inedible food that was tossed in the trash) and was told no. DO NOT RECOMMEND. (The place at the end of town that’s take out only is much better)."

So apparently, this place has been around since my aunt went to UWYO back in the 80s, but back then they were just called "Mandarin." According to my aunt, they were very good back then too!. They have such a wide variety of selections, it always take me forever to choose because I always want to eat everything!
