"I was torn between getting the fajitas option or a combo dinner. Ultimately, I went for the latter consisting of an Enchilada Ranchera with machaca (shredded beef with peppers) and a pork tamale with a side of beans and rice.
The rice could have been hotter and even the enchilada felt a bit close to lukewarm. The enchilada was pretty good as was the pork tamale; both had some pretty tender meat.
When they served chips and salsa, they served two different kinds of salsa, one being spicier than the other. I appreciated that variety.
The service was very good. Our server was friendly and attentive to our wants and answered our questions with ease.
Overall, Casa Serrano wasn’t bad. It could be better but it wasn’t bad either."
