Finishing out the day strong, we wanted a super traditional German style restaurant, and we didn’t have to look any further than Andreas Keller. Their slogan “Munich without the passport” says it all!. Again, since we had tasted our way around the town all day, we decided to split the Jaeger Schnitzel and one of their giant homemade pretzels and we did not regret our decision!.

In fact, they offer more live music than any other venue in town!. Every night starting at 6 p.m., stop in for delicious Bavarian fare and music by local talent. Of course, the music will be just as traditional as the food!

I saved the best for last because this place truly stole my heart!. No matter if you are coming for Christmas or a summertime visit, Andreas Keller is a must-stop for everyone. Downstairs a level right across from Front Street Park is this Bavarian-style restaurant – walking in instantly transport you to Germany thanks to their decor and barrel tables.

München Haus and Andreas Keller are two good spots to choose if you want a broader range of German food than just sausages. Unfortunately, neither is particularly good for gluten free folks like me, so we ultimately skipped them. But if soft and fluffy pretzels, apple strudel, and schnitzel are your idea of fun, add them to your list!.

Andreas Keller German Restaurant offers great food as well as the feeling of being in a German Cellar. It is located in the basement, so it can be a little difficult to find but is worth the hunt. All the waiters are dressed in traditional German attire and at night they have someone playing an accordion.

The inside of the restaurant is modeled like an old wine cellar and the waiters and waitresses are wearing full Bavarian themed outfits. Portions are big but they are so good you’ll eat it all. I ordered the Schnitzel Cordon Blue (their most popular dish) and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.
