Reviews Summary
Howlin' Ray's is widely praised for its exceptional Nashville hot chicken, particularly the 'Hot' level which is intensely flavorful and spicy, though worth the heat. The chicken sandwiches are a standout. Service is consistently noted as friendly and energetic, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere. While some find the spice coating a bit heavy and the lemonade too sweet, the overall experience is highly recommended and considered a must-try in Los Angeles.
"The PERFECT Spicy Nashville Chicken Sandwich, 10/10.
Hands down the best in LA, believe the hype and absolutely worth the wait in line.
I tolerate a lot of heat and spice, let me tell you that the Hot (Not X-Hot or Howling) was the perfect amount of heat without sacrificing flavor. I was in hot flashes, blowing nose bubbles, but it was WORTH it.
Get the Hot Chicken Sando with a side of Mac Salad and you will not regret it."

"Absolutely remarkable experience at Howlin’ Ray’s Hot Chicken today. We went at 11:30 and there was already a bit of a line. Throughout the ordering and seating process, we had the best service I can say we’ve received in a long time. Ryan, Cairo and the entire staff went above and beyond to make this a great experience.
The food was hands down the best Hot Chicken I’ve ever had, coming from a Dave’s and HHC fan. Truly delicious chicken. I got a medium sandwich and it is a hefty portion. My wife got mild/medium tenders and felt the same way. We shared fries and got one of each sauce – all great as well, but I recommend the Comeback sauce.
Howling Ray’s has a disciple for life in me. Look forward to the day that one of these bad boys winds up in Utah"

"I’ve been coming here for years, but this is my first time leaving a review—and it’s long overdue!
Hands down, this is the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I’m at a point in life where the medium heat is just right—flavorful with a kick, but still enjoyable. I tried the “hot” during the winter and it was a bit too intense, so choose your spice level wisely!
Everything on the menu hits—from the tenders to the wings—and you have to try the comeback sauce.
To top it all off, the service is consistently fantastic. Always a pleasure coming back!"
