Housed in a gorgeous brick building, Le Moo is a beautiful upscale restaurant with a palatial deign that would rival any castle in Europe. Its regal elegance can be seen in its billowy curtains, exposed brick, renaissance-inspired artwork, elegant patterned wallpaper, and intricate furniture including its famous Louis Vuitton booth – made with 17 vintage pieces of Louis Vuitton luggage. A romantic eatery, its an ideal spot for a date night with a decadent menu featuring premium cuts of meat, succulent seafood, and piquant pastas, among other savory dishes.

Among many, I enjoy Le Moo (2300 Lexington Road, 458-8888) for the quality of its steaks, yes, but also for the variety of its bill of fare, and, of course, the memorably wacky decor. Another favorite is Brooklyn and the Butcher (148 E. Market St., New Albany, Indiana, 812-590-2646.) Located in the stylish environs of a historic former hotel, it offers an enticing mix of quality steaks and chops plus a raw bar, intriguing small plates, even creative vegetarian options.

Le Moo offers slightly different fare, like a filet flight of three 6-ounce filets of choice, Prime and Wagyu cut served with one side and a cut of Grade-A5 Miyazaki Wagyu described as "the best steak in the world." There's also an espresso chili rubbed ribeye, a Kentucky Black Hawk Farms burger, an absolutely loaded PB&J, chicken and waffles, and a massive bowl of Lucky Charms topped with ice cream titled "Better than Xanax.

For Italian and other European fare, look into La Chasse, Volare Ristorante, Bistro Le Relais, Grassa Gramma, ROC or Porcini. American fine dining is easy to find as well, with restaurants like 610 Magnolia, Buck’s Restaurant and Bar, Jack Fry’s, Varanese, Proof on Main and Varanese. And don’t miss out on unique restaurants like Mayan Café, Nami or La Bodegita de Mimi.

Le Moo is well known for being a great steak house (peep that Miyazaki, Grade A-5 world-class wagyu on the menu!), but it’s also the place to be for weekend brunch and a show. Every Saturday and Sunday, the restaurant features a themed show with a decadent brunch buffet. Previous themes have included everything from Beyonce and Cher to Harry Potter and Disney.

LeMoo offers a dinner menu, but it’s the brunch and the incredible selection of entrées that will get you to stay. Prepare to be indecisive when choosing from LeMoo’s menu. Drag brunch combines two of the best things ever into one extremely fun (and deeply filling) experience!. By night, you may know Le Moo as one of Louisville’s best and most luxurious steakhouses. However, what Le Moo is really known for is their Drag Brunches. A Drag Brunch is an event that happens on the weekends and showcases the performing arts skills of drag queens, usually based aroung a theme. For example, Katy Perry is coming up on September 8th and Lizzo will be on September 28th.

There are also a few restaurants that do drag brunches (le moo and board&you) but they can stray toward the bachelorette crowd so you probably won’t be meeting friends or lovers. Just seeing good drag.
