Reviews Summary

TAPS is praised for its creative and elevated pub fare, along with friendly service and a cozy atmosphere in historic surroundings. While many rave about dishes like the chicken and waffles and fish tacos, some reviews mention inconsistencies in food quality, particularly with burgers, and occasional slow service. Despite minor drawbacks, it's considered a great spot for craft beers, cocktails, and a satisfying meal.

"Came in on a Tuesday night around 7pm. Saw the bartender to be seated and were sat right away.

Ordered the fried oysters, a side caesar salad, and the penne pasta. My coworker had the taps burger. Oh, and the strawberry mousse cake!

Food came out fast and tasty. The staff was efficient and tentative without being overbearing. We will definitely be going back to try other menu items!

The only thing I'd say is when we go back, asking for a different type of chair. Mine wasn't too comfy."

"Taps used to be our favorite restaurant in town. Used to have best burgers ever. Thick, juicy and flavorful. Last night's looked like the kind of pressed patty you'd get in a bad college cafeteria or fast food place. Hope they return to what looked like hand-made patties instead of the thin, flavorless patty ordered very rare came MW. Fish tacos are excellent. Great mixed drinks and the service is superior. Manager didn't charge us for this burger, not edible to me."

"We wanted a nice meal after hiking but we went sure that would be possible. It was Monday, and we had our dog with us. We saw Lexington wasn't far away and that this place was open with a patio. It had good reviews too. It was perfect! The restaurant/bar is in an historic hotel. The patio is shaded with planters full of blooms. The service was helpful. The food was great. We will be back. Good food and service on a Monday, what a treat."
