What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Broad Street Oyster Company is celebrated for its "world-famous" lobster rolls and exceptionally fresh seafood, creating a vibrant, casual dining experience. While many rave about the quality and flavor, some diners find the portion sizes of certain items, like the lobster roll, to be on the smaller side for the price, and a few have noted the soup bases could be more remarkable.
"Delicious food and chill atmosphere. Food done right everything was very fresh and flavorful. The lobster roll, shrimp tacos, and uni was super yummy and flavors were simple and balanced. Great place to grab lunch in a more sophisticated palate but chill style type of way. Place to bring the whole family. Located in the back of market shops in the parking lot and outdoor dining to note. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and staff was nice."
Viviana Castellucci
"We came here because my friend gave this rave reviews. I couldn't go past the "world famous lobster roll" with chilled mayo and a lobster bisque, while my friend chose shrimp tacos and clam chowder.
The lobster roll with ptetty good but only snack size. The lobster bisque was just like normal soup, not particularly remarkable to my taste. My friend found the clam chowder very starchy with minimal clams and an underwhelming pair of lukewarm shrimp tacos.
The interior is used for food preparation and merch. We ordered at the counter and picked up at the window to eat at the outdoor, undercover seating, so there really wasn't any more service than a regular take away. The setup suits the beach surroundings. It wasn't quite the experience my other friend had."

"Warm sunny days and oysters are the best combo. I decided to try this place for oysters, and they were pretty good. They serve them on a large platter of ice, which is convenient if you're planning to take them to go. I also ordered the lobster roll, which was tasty with its nicely buttered bun. There's a covered area with tents where you can sit and eat, and the wait time for everything was pretty short."

Malibu Beach Inn – Hotel Review
It is ideally located for Malibu’s best beaches like Point Dume (a great spot to watch the migration of California gray whales) and El Matador; and is within tempting distance of great shops (Malibu Village contains multitudes) and restaurants (don’t miss PCH seafood staples like Broad Street Oyster Company and Malibu Seafood Fresh Fish Market). For those who prefer not to stray too far from the Inn, Malibu Farms on the Pier is a short walk away and great for breakfast or lunch; Nobu and the Soho House are equally accessible but in the other direction. If you enjoy a more active holiday—you’re in the right place for it—there’s Escondido Falls nearby for moderately challenging hiking up to the highest falls in the Santa Monica Mountains, or Charmlee Wilderness Park a little further out, which has eight miles of trails and is strewn with native plants.
16 Best Malibu Restaurants and Bars for Oceanfront Eats
A little bit coastal and a whole lot of a party, Christopher Tompkins’s former seafood pop-up is now tucked into the back corner of Malibu Village, where lines form daily just before opening with hungry day-trippers hoping to score some of the city’s best East Coast-style seafood. The casual, open-air atmosphere is the perfect setting to grab a beer and one of our favorite lobster rolls in town (available warm and buttered or chilled with a thin sheen of mayo). Sustainably farmed oysters come freshly shucked and sourced from around the globe, while heartier specials hit the grill: buttery, herbed-up razor clams; panko breadcrumb-dusted blue crab cakes; a meaty burger with shio kombu.
