What started as a small cafe in Santa Monica has grown into one of the most popular destinations for those looking for fresh, high quality dining. Founded by three young friends over 20 years ago, the exterior of the restaurant has an old western quality to it, with its stucco walls and wooden beams, but there’s nothing old time about this Malibu favorite. The Malibu location stands out near the Malibu Lagoon and offers spacious high ceilings for a soothing experience while also providing some affordable prices on California style delicacies.

The Malibu outpost of Marmalade Cafe is the kind of place that was destined to be a brunch spot, with its cozy, rustic decor and massive weekend brunch menu full of scrambles, specialty pancakes, Benedicts and Bloody Marys. Expect to see plenty of local families and Pepperdine students out to brunch with their visiting parents. Luckily, their brunch begins at 8 a.m.

Marmalade Café started its history when it opened its first-ever location in Santa Monica in 1990. Its property on Malibu was the brand’s full-service restaurant, officially established in 1993.

It has a very nice atmosphere, but probably won't be as expensive as the other options. They have fried chicken, pizza and some fancier dishes. They don't offer an ocean view, though.

And I would be MAJORLY amiss if I didn't mention the Malibu Farm. It's at the end of the long pier, and the scrambled, organic eggs are incredible.
