Established in 2015, this addition to our list is one of our few local businesses that offers multiple locations across our Upper Peninsula. Contrast Coffee is heartwarmingly grounded in their various communities, with a steady reputation of readily sponsoring local events, students, clubs & organizations. Their Marquette location, which we’re focusing on today, is a thriving extension of those core beliefs.

Contrast Coffee: This coffee shop emphasizes community at its four locations across the UP, partnering with local nonprofits to raise money and community awareness. “906 Days” — days on which 100% of profits go to a local nonprofit or cause — support things like mental health, support for domestic violence survivors, and youth outdoor programs. Coffee with a cause — we can’t complain about that!.

Getting our coffee fix is always a must, so we were happy to find several coffee shops open during our visit, even if they were all operating with limited hours. Because of the hours of all the shops, we ended up at Contrast Coffee Co. twice during our visit. We tried seasonal lattes and black coffee—both of which were quite tasty and kept us coming back for more!

Contrast Coffee Co. in Ironwood is a favorite of locals and tourists and serves a range of delicious fall-inspired drinks. If you’re in Copper Harbor, Jamsen’s Fish Market and Bakery is a great place to stock up on coffee and fresh-baked goods before boarding the ferry to Isle Royale, and Lodge Coffee is a must-visit in Ishpeming.

Contrast Coffee is a stylish, modern coffee shop with a location in downtown Marquette & 3 other locations across Michigan. Serving up coffee, other beverages, & breakfast – they will leave you wanting to come back to their shop more than once during your trip to Marquette. Their crepes are to die for!

Contrast is tucked a bit further down North 3rd street and has been regarded as one of the top spots in Marquette for your coffee fix. A nice layout combined with excellent food and beverage options, Contrast is a winner. In 2019, Contrast celebrated its 2 year anniversary at it’s Marquette location.

Every bean is freshly roasted in Iron River, MI, and brewed with care in their coffee shop. They want to make a fun and relaxed cafe that also cares about the community and has good quality. The friendliest service, the gorgeous food, the most comfortable sitting space, and the most excellent coffee.

Contrast Coffee is a U.P.-based coffee roaster (some think it is hands-down the best local roaster). Plus, their breakfast sandwiches made on fresh sourdough, with homemade sauces, and grilled are delicious. For lunch choose sweet or savory crepes, panini sandwiches, or salad.

We started the net morning by fueling up with coffee from Contrast Coffee. We always appreciate all of the great coffee options in Marquette!. With coffee in hand, we headed to Presque Isle with a goal to paddle all the way around.

I had heard amazing things about a local coffee shop called, Contrast Coffee. A local coffee shop owner in Muskegon raves about it every time he goes to the U.P. So, I figured this guy knows his coffee, so I should check it out.

The shop was cute, coffee was good, albeit not that strong, even with an extra shot. But their crepes were out of this world!. I got both a Nutella/banana one and a strawberries n crème and we shared them between us.

Contrast Coffee is another favorite with plenty of specialty coffee drinks, a diverse crepe menu, and wall to wall windows so you can watch the snowfall.
