Reviews Summary

Leku offers a refined Basque dining experience within a beautiful art-filled setting. Diners rave about the meticulously crafted tasting menu and the exceptional Basque cheesecake. While the food and ambiance are consistently praised, some guests have noted that the service can be inconsistent, particularly during busy periods, and a few feel the quality has declined from its peak.

"Wow what an experience. This restaurant is a hidden gem. We tried the 10-course tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The dishes are meticulously curated to wake up all your senses. The tastes are so fresh and flavorful and the descriptions of each ingredient really made me love this place even more. I loved the beet tartare and the trio appetizer of gazpacho, ham + tomato toast and croquette - all so fresh! Great service, lively upbeat atmosphere, nice and clean restaurant surrounded by a jungle of plants and trees. They also have a museum family collection of art you can view that is very unique and outside the box. If you haven’t tried this place you definitely need to put it on your list."

"Overall very good food. Very classic dishes and flavours, nothing really new, but very well executed and tasty. The meat was great and the basque cheesecake was the best!

The service was very subpar for the price of the tasting menu. They didn’t explain or presented the dishes. We were in an odd number and they brought some things that were not enough for everyone. Also, when we were ordering we were never informed that it would be a shared dishes experience. Drinks also took too long to arrive (e.g we order cocktails that only arrived after the first moment was already on the table).

So overall a good experience but a bit overpriced."

"Leku is always a wonderful place to have a wonderful dinner with amazing food & service.

The place is so beautiful also to celebrate an special occasion. You can seat inside but they also have a stunning outdoor space surrounded by beautiful natural greenery.

The menu is inspired in the Basque region cuisine and there are also specials of the day. You can order everything to share and also is the perfect spot to go with friends and that way you can try more menu items.

My favorites were for sure the Scallop Tartare, the Cochinillo Crujiente and the Basque Cheesecake"

The Rubell Museum’s onsite restaurant offers a delightful journey through Spain’s Basque country, from the wines and the dishes to the signature burnt cheesecake. Why we love it: Miami has quite a few Spanish restaurants but few with a focus on Basque cooking, which is pretty special based on our experiences at Leku. Their take on the cuisine is refined, ingredient-driven and occasionally playful—think short rib sliders on milk buns and 5 Jotas Iberico ham on an airy bread you crack with the back of a spoon to enjoy.
