"I read some of the reviews people post here complaining about prices. Take a Hint....maybe they know what they can get for what they offer. The place is packed, and they certainly don't need your bargain hunting butt in a valuable seat. Take yourselves to Denny's in Seaside for that attitude. Now let's talk about the food..... my buddy and I eat here a couple times a year. I try something new each time. My buddy gets the Filet prepped "black & blue" style. It's awesome. All the staff is great and provide fun conversation to make it a homey feel. Bartenders are at the top level of talent. Waiters know their profession well too. Highly recommended. Also I like the temporary set up just as much as the location that is currently being remodeled. It was pretty busy last night, so its a good idea to get reservations. You can bring your own bottle of wine too. We do it all the time."

Cons: very limited breakfast options. My beef omelette had no visible beef! Potatoes were supposed to be replaced with mushrooms but there was only 3-4 mushrooms as garnish, not as much as a side. Dishes were very basic and plain; not any sides or decorations.
The decor and atmosphere was old and kinda depressing."

Then take an Uber to one of the Pebble Beach Golf clubhouses for lunch which will take you along 17 Mile Drive-- you basically can choose The Lodge at Pebble Beach (the Tap Room makes for a great lunch) or the Inn at Spanish Bay (there is a great patio with lunch service overlooking the ocean). The benefit here is that they will refund the $11.25 charge for driving the 17 Mile Drive if you make a purchase. From either of those spots you could then Uber back to Monterey along the rest of the drive.

Visiting Pebble Beach: What it's like for first-time golfers
Previously, guests were welcome to bring their drinks to this space just steps down from the lobby, but the new Terrace Lounge Bar with a dedicated bartender and food service now makes it a more welcoming place, where live music sometimes entertains after dark. We ordered an old fashioned and a margarita to toast our round.
