Prior to taking over the renowned Vintage Year restaurant, he was the President, CEO & Co-Owner of Filet & Vine for 19 years where he grew it to be Central Alabama’s largest specialty market, deli and bottle shop. In 2018, he repurposed a 1950s bank building into Vintage Cafe, a charming coffee shop and daytime eatery.

Filet & Vine Market, Deli and Bottle Shoppe started in 1997 by Derk Lyerly in Old Cloverdale, Montgomery, Alabama. After six months of renovations, we opened our doors to the public in March of 1998. In 1999, we received the emerging Thirty award from the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce honoring our new business.
