Reviews Summary

Greg's Breakfast Bar is celebrated for its delicious, hearty Southern breakfast fare and friendly, personalized service that makes guests feel like family. While some find the taste just 'ok' or note minor issues like eggshells, the quick preparation and generous portions are consistently praised. The unique sports-themed decor adds to the cozy, local charm.

"My Partner and I were on a mission for biscuits and gravy, and found this place online. Came over immediately- quick and friendly service, and explained how things go here since it was our first time. We will definitely be back!!"

Margaret Sams

"The portion sizes are great. The taste was just ok. We added salt n pepper to grits but they still didn't have that good smack you usually get from grits. Eggs had a lil piece of egg shell in them. Salmon was okay! Was it the best in Alabama as the door says... Not in my opinion.

But, service was speedy and the food was hot 🔥"

A L Reaves

"Old little joint off the beaten path, while not my usual haunt I wanted to try some breakfast that wasn't a biscuit or a brunch spot. Greg's didn't disappoint with big servings and almost instant prep. Though I would prefer my toast warm the rest was great, grits were the right consistency, eggs were scrambled just right. I cleaned my plate and started my day satisfied. If you're not from this side of town don't be scared to get some good breakfast."

Eat Like a Local in Montgomery

Owned by a former Montgomery junior high football coach, this place is nothing fancy but hands down, the best Southern breakfast in town. Most everything is cooked on a well-seasoned griddle, whether it’s a sandwich packed with egg and Conecuh an Alabama-made smoked sausage with a cult-like following or the pork chops on the breakfast plates. Tip: Pretty much everything has cheese on it; you have to ask for no cheese.
