"Nothing against Mount Dora but we could not find a restaurant to serve us in the middle of the afternoon in the downtown core.
The Fire Marshall had shut down the Spring Arts and Craft Festival because of an impending storm.
So we thought we may as well grab a meal before driving back to the Gulf Coast.
Every restaurant we checked was no longer seating for lunch, not serving food until 5:00 p.m., or were closed.
So we were driving out of town and saw a restaurant parking lot starting to fill up early, a good sign.
We pulled into PizzAmore and what good luck!
Lovely little restaurant with great food and great service.
We sat in the front porch as it was bright and pleasant.
I had the Black and Bleu, Texas style brisket smoked in-house with fettuccini, delicious.
My wife had a flat bread pizza which she said was over the top excellent.
Freshly brewed unsweetened ice tea for a beverage, very fresh tasting.
And when we heard the Key Lime Pie was made in-house we ordered that for desert.
Seriously good, just the right balance of sweet and tart.

"This place is very cute and the pizza was great! The garlic knots were huge and really good (hence no pic before they were torn into). The wings were ok. We had them remade because the first round was too dry. They are dark and the waitress said that's the dry rub not that they are burnt. The wings were huge and tasted better when they came out. I think it's too many flavors with the dry rub and the sauce. I was rather disappointed in our waitress. She seemed irritated to suggest a beer, it took a bit for her to return so we could complain about the wings and even longer to get refills while eating. I'm not sure if we were forgotten, ignored or she had other tables. I'm visiting from out of town and would probably give this place another shot."

"I must start with the great servi e and super friendly staff. We had the meatballs, garlic knots amd pizza. The garlic knots were great. The meatballs were ok. The marinara sauce was good. The pizza sauce was good, but the pizza was overcooked. It is located in a converted residence that needs some updating."

Very few restaurants in downtown Mt. Dora draw me away from my favorite, which until further notice is PizzAmore. I wish I had more pictures to share, but I'm often too busy stuffing my face, and the last thing I want my greasy hands to grab is a camera. It’s a spot locals love, and it feels very homey as the building itself is a large, yellow house in downtown Mt. Dora.
