Reviews Summary

Big Mike's Soul Food is celebrated for its authentic and hearty Southern comfort food, with many highlighting the juicy fried chicken, flavorful collard greens, and generous portions that evoke a sense of home cooking. While the food is consistently praised, some diners have noted long wait times and occasional service inconsistencies. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall consensus points to a highly recommended culinary experience for those seeking genuine Southern flavors.

"Amazing southern food! My husband and I wanted to try many southern delicacies on our visit to Myrtle Beach and this restaurant had them all. We tried the veggie plates where you can pick 4 sides each served with cornbread. We also tried hush puppies, collard green dip and peach cobbler. All the dishes tasted homely and the servers were very friendly too. We had to wait for about 5 minutes before we got a seat on a weekday evening, showing the demand this restaurant has amongst locals! There is limited parking right outside and a bigger parking lot on the opposite side of the road."

"Visited while on vacation and this food was absolutely delicious ‼️‼️ The wait time was absolutely absurd but the food was well worth it! Have you ever had Collard Green dip??? It's fantastic!!! The fried whiting, candied yams and potato salad was outstanding!!! The portions could definitely be bigger for what they charge and unfortunately I was charged for 2 peach cobblers that I never received. Aside from that I highly recommend this place!! Go early because the wait is long and they get crowded!"

Trey Wesson

"I got take out here, so I was only able to get a quick glance at their menu. There wasn't much parking, but they have an additional lot.

It was a Monday, so I got a side of ribs $6.50. I also ordered $23.50 shrimp boil and $11.75 Little Mike's. I chose fried porkchop, and it came with cornbread and two sides: mac n cheese and rice&gravy. I think the best thing was the shrimp boil. There was plenty of shrimp (but you have to peel them) and potatoes. I like corn, so I wish they gave more of that too. Instead of fried porkchop, maybe fried chicken would have been better. The ribs were ok. The mac n cheese was actually not bad.

Service was good. They gave me utensils and hot sauce packets."
