What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Little Pigs Bar-B-Q is praised for its authentic North Carolina-style barbecue, particularly the tender pulled pork and flavorful sauces. Many appreciate the friendly service and generous portions. However, some reviewers found the pulled pork to be flavorless, and a few noted issues with the ribs being dry or overcooked. The sides like hush puppies and baked beans are often highlighted as delicious, making it a solid choice for barbecue enthusiasts despite occasional inconsistencies.
"Nice little spot right there off of 17. I had never eaten here before today I really enjoyed this local fav. It has a simple menu and walk up service. We were served quickly and with a smile! They have ribs Friday and Saturday, but daily feature fresh chopped/pulled pork and brisket.
Sides were adequate, but the pulled pork was solid. I sampled a bite of the brisket and found it flavorful, but a little dry. Sauce selection was good, vinegar, mustard, and two versions of tomato."
Justin Williamson
"Lovely spot! First impression is the clean tables and thermostat temperature. There was a line, but we took that as a good sign.
Prices and portions are reasonable and service was excellent!
Solid brisket, hot fries, crispy hush puppies and last but not least tasty add-your-own-sauce bbq (vinegar, mustard, etc.)
We’ll definitely be back!"
Maria Southard
"It's been awhile since I was here and decided to try it again. Food was pretty good. Mac n' cheese was like mom used to make. Very good. Pork was tasty. Rob sauce is very good. We will definitely be back."
