With tables lining a koi-filled fountain off one of Naples busiest pedestrian areas, breakfast and people-watching are de rigueur every day until doors close at 3 p.m. There are Bellinis with cocktail umbrellas poking out, burritos and breakfast sandwiches galore, and a weekend special of the absolute best stuffed French toast we’ve ever tasted (classic French toast can be ordered in appetizer or entrée portions daily).

The setting feels like provincial France, but the menu tips its hat to British and American fare with healthy notes for breakfast and lunch. Everything is freshly prepared at Jane's - from the quiche du jour and roasted beets salad with feta cheese to its popular lobster crab cake sliders, yummy grilled chicken and avocado sandwich, fish tacos in five flavors (including vegetarian) seafood crepes, vegan medley and slow-roasted short ribs with mango BBQ sauce. Ask about gluten-free bread and other options.

This is one Naples restaurant you won’t have to fight for a table outside, 90% of the seating at Jane’s Cafe is in the courtyard, overlooking the decorative pond. Jane’s serves up a wide selection of American and European lunch and brunch specialties, including quiche, crepes, and Benedicts, as well as fresh salads, soups, and seafood.

The first thing you will notice on their list of deliciousness is the “British Breakfast—Fit for a King” and includes eggs and potatoes, plus the traditional English sides of beans and grilled tomato. They create a taste of Merry Olde England that can be enjoyed al fresco in their English gardens or on the elegant courtyard patio. But that’s not all—their menu includes a variety of breakfast sandwiches and several styles of eggs benedict and scrambles.

Jane’s Cafe: A koi pond is just one thing that sets this spot apart from other organic daytime spots in town. It’s one of the first restaurants I visited before officially moving here, and where I still go for catchups with friends over refreshing (and now too pricey, as I complained to Jane) fruity booze-free lemonades and my usual salmon scramble. The ex, a fish guru, thought Jane’s grouper tacos the best in town.

Jane’s Cafe on 3rd: This breakfast and lunch spot came highly recommended during our girls’ trip a few years ago. So of course, we checked it out. And it did not disappoint!.

It is somewhat tucked between the buildings on 3rd Street with beautiful fountains and trees reminding you of Alice in Wonderland. We also love their food!
