The setting at this intimate but lively restaurant is refined but rustic, with wood repurposed from a dilapidated Florida barn and 1940s-era bricks reclaimed from a Chicago firehouse. The Sicilian-born chef (and part-owner) eschews an ornate menu and instead offers simple, finely produced Italian dishes. The signature fennel sausage is made using a family recipe, and the kitchen cures its own pancetta, makes its own mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, and extrudes its own pasta.

Born in Sicily, bred in Milwaukee, Chef and Partner Vincenzo Betulia had a lifelong dream to create something spectacular and in 2013 after training with some of the best, he did that with opening up Osteria Tulia!. Drawing from the simplicity of Italian fare, Osteria Tulia offers plenty when it comes to their food, now along with their ambience, it ties together to create an awesome restaurant. Okay I almost left Tulia off the family friendly list because this is one of our favorite date night spots, but we have taken the kids there and they love it too. It’s the BEST ITALIAN you will find in Naples, in my opinion!. Like I’m talking SO good.

This place has a very romantic rustic vibe with a gorgeous patio. We’ve been here twice and I’ve gotten the Garganelli pasta twice because it’s unbelievable but all their pasta look so good. This one is like a bolognese with lamb and sheep cheese!

Other restaurants that I’d like to try next time are Alexander’s, Bha Bha (Persian), Osteria Tulia, The French, Mediterraneo, La Indya (Indian), 21 Spices (Indian), and if you’re nostalgic for Cuban even though you just left Miami — Van Van.

We had the opportunity to savor a few of the top-rated dining hotspots, Sea Salt – Naples; Osteria Tulia; and Chez Boet. Each offered a different menu presentation and atmosphere, from Fresh Seafood to Italian to Country French.
