Part indoors and part out, half restaurant and half bar, mostly shabby and somewhat chic, Karla's feels like an old comfortable pair of jeans.

The French doors are open letting guests soak up the nice weather and sun.

For more than 40 years, Karla’s has been serving classics like mac and cheese and French onion soup from a charming, ivy-covered brick building. Go for brunch on the covered patio — try the Eleni, a version of eggs Benedict with spinach and jumbo lump crabmeat or the caramelized butter-coated crème brûlée French toast.

To me, this place represents the exact current feeling of New Hope. It’s set in an old building with lots of different rooms and casual yet charming outdoor patio seating with old brick floors underfoot. The place is old, but the food is modern, fresh and interesting.

Karla’s is both a restaurant and a bar, with open-air seating and an extensive wine list from around the world. The restaurant is a converted house in historic New Hope. Several small rooms have mismatched tables and chairs, all of which are charmingly comfortable.

For a great breakfast in town go to Karlas on Mechanic Street, one of the most charming streets in town. A long-time staple of New Hope, they feature breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a brick tavern complete with an outdoor patio in the warmer months.

Prior to eating at Karla’s, it was recommended by several locals and visitors as a place with great food, that also happened to be really “cute.” (Everyone used the same word). I have to be honest though… it’s an accurate one. Karla’s is adorable.

A New Hope favorite for more than 25 years located in the heart of town. Serving lunch, dinner & cocktails 7 days a week, year round. We offer Sunday brunch, live music, and Monday local’s nights (but all are welcome).

With it’s green walls and mushroom shape, eclectic little side rooms with whacky designs the experience of being in there was enough. The food, however, takes it up a notch. Have the short rib risotto.

Karla’s Restaurant & Bar has a great eclectic menu and drinks including blood orange martinis and margaritas. I enjoyed my first-ever martini at Karla’s.
