Reviews Summary

Peaches HotHouse is celebrated for its exceptionally juicy and flavorful fried chicken and its signature "Best Chicken Sandwich Anywhere." Diners also rave about the creamy mac and cheese and well-seasoned collard greens, making them popular side choices. However, some reviews mention inconsistent preparation, with fries occasionally falling short, and there are concerns regarding cross-contamination for those with severe seafood allergies due to shared frying oil. Service is generally friendly, though attentiveness can vary.

"I stopped in about a week ago with a friend and I really enjoyed the food. The server was so nice, she really was a darling. She recommended that I get a shrimp sandwich and when I tell you that sandwich was bomb, it was bomb. I opted in for a salad for my side and that was really good. My friend got the a spicy chicken sandwich and he cleared the plate so I know it was good! I don't remember what the names of our drinks were, but they were ok. I would probably get something else next time, it was a punch of some sort I believe but overall I would return. The place is small but cozy."

"Quite good southern food within the Peaches Restaurant empire in Brooklyn. It’s a fast casual spot, along with brunch, and also it seems like it’s great for the summer and spring months as well.

The Chicken was juicy, flavorful, and fried nicely. Hot was hot. Spicier than let’s say an El Yucateco. Cornbread was moist and fresh. The fries were a bit sad.

The collard greens were absolutely delicious. Easily the best part of southern food and it’s been a while since I’ve had. $7, costly, but worth it. Same with the Mac, which was more like Cheese and Mac rather than Mac and Cheese. Still delicious and gluttonous.

I’ll be back to try some sandwiches in the sunny months."

"After all these years I finally been to the infamous Peaches. This place is SMALL!! I had no idea. We was called after about a 30 minute wait and enjoyed our sandwiches, catfish, fried chicken and kale caesar salad, and which was my favorite. I heard their cocktails are great! This visit I had an ipa."

We’re confident that the fried chicken sandwich at Peaches Hothouse went to the Cristiano Ronaldo school of self-promotion. On the menu, it’s called “The Best Chicken Sandwich Anywhere,” and the bun is lathered in comeback sauce—a combination of mayo, ketchup, honey, and Cajun seasoning. Juices from the Nashville-style hot chicken run down your hand as soon as you pick this sandwich up, while the cayenne on the hot and extra hot versions hits your nose like smelling salts.

Fried chicken is nearly ubiquitous in Bed-Stuy, but no one does it better than The HotHouse, sister restaurant to Peaches, just a few blocks east. One look at your crispy, juicy “hot chicken”—a specialty in Nashville, made with a spice rub either before or after it’s breaded—and it’s clear you’re in for a delicious meal. Here it’s served “regular, hot, or extra hot,” and paired with traditional Southern sides such as collard greens and creamy grits.

Stick around the lively and cramped dining room at Peaches and you’ll no doubt hear one or more dazed customers ask some variation of this theme.
